What Is Not Covered
Our warranty is broad, but some situations fall outside its scope. Here is a plain-language list of what our labor warranty does not cover:
- Acts of God including tornadoes, hurricanes, or winds exceeding rated limits
- Damage from fallen trees, debris, or objects
- Damage caused by neglect or lack of maintenance
- Alterations or repairs made by other contractors after installation
- Normal wear and tear at the end of the shingle's rated lifespan
- Ice dam damage in areas outside our service region
If storm or wind damage occurs after installation, your homeowner's insurance policy is the appropriate coverage. We work with all major carriers to help you file and maximize your claim.
Keep Your Coverage Active
Protect Your Warranty with Proper Maintenance
Your warranty stays valid as long as you perform basic maintenance. These five steps keep your roof in top condition and your coverage intact.
Inspect Twice a Year
Walk your property and visually inspect the roof each spring and fall. Look for missing, curled, or cracked shingles and check that gutters are clear.
Keep Gutters Clean
Clogged gutters back water up under shingles and accelerate deterioration. Clean them at least twice per year and after major storms.
Trim Overhanging Branches
Tree limbs that rub against shingles wear away the protective granule coating over time. Keep branches trimmed back at least 6 feet from the roof surface.
Address Leaks Immediately
A small leak caught early is a minor repair. Left untreated, it becomes structural damage. Call us at the first sign of water intrusion.
Document Your Roof
Keep your installation paperwork, photos from your final walkthrough, and any inspection reports. This documentation supports insurance claims and warranty service requests.
